9h-11h : « Gender-based violence during civil wars. How do women photographer reshape our understanding of conflict ? », par Chantal Edie
Chantal Edie Ntube is an atypical artist whose art representation extends beyond her visual practice as a photographer and writer. Chantal has a BSC in History, a Masters I in Political Sciences, and an HND in HSC from Reading in the UK. Presently Chantal is curating her vision of what it is a forest in an urban city, a space she cofounded with her partner Zacharie in 2020. Her work is centered around the struggles for social change and justice in contemporary Cameroon. The format of her practice as a curator mediates around different groups, communities, and individuals affected by harm and trauma due to historical settings and contemporary disputes caused by the systematic routines of abuse and violence. As a documentarian, Chantal is focused on research and production and is always on the lookout for new and undocumented pieces of knowledge.

11h – 13h : « De la communication visuelle à la création d’entreprise basée sur l’évènementiel, l’art, la culture et la gastronomie : cas de The Forest Creative Loft », par Zacharie Ngnogue
Photographe de formation, Zacharie Ngnogue utilise l’outil photographique pour sublimer l’objet visuel et en faire un élément constitutif d’une base de données rares et reconnues par ses pairs. Investi dans le domaine de la culture et de la documentation, le travail de Zacharie est d’une richesse pour l’interroger l’histoire et la condition existentielle de l’Homme. The Forest Creative Floft, créé et cogéré avec Chantal Edie, est un tiers-lieu de débat et de « paroles libres », désormais prisé par l’Institut français de Douala pour les cérémonies culturelles où des artistes, écrivains, historiens, cinéastes, etc. viennent partager leurs savoirs avec un public hétéroclite, le tout dans un univers où la nature se combine à d’autres arts, notamment culinaire.
